Adhesive Transfer Tape

The Tape Lab can custom slit or die cut most adhesive transfer tape to meet your specific requirements. Our adhesive transfer tapes have pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) that is coated directly on a siliconized release liner (paper or film liner). We stock adhesive transfer tapes in both rubber and acrylic adhesive systems. It is recommended for bonding to a variety of products and for laminating to a variety of substrates and materials.

Adhesive Transfer Tape Applications

Bonding tape

Adhesive transfers are most commonly used as a tape to hold two materials together. Some examples are gasketing when using foam and an indifferent surface such as a foil, heat shielding material or high or low surface energy plastic.

Laminating adhesive tape

Most laminating adhesives are adhesive transfer tapes. These tapes are the most conformable tapes in the market and bond well to indifferent materials. Transfer tapes are used as laminating tapes on signs, graphics, plaques or most surfaces that need to have conformability and flexibility in their application.

Box and Bag sealing

Adhesive transfer tapes are used in everyday box and bag sealing. Think about any goods you receive on a sealed USPS, UPS or FedEx box that you need to use the pull strip to open. Those boxes are sealed with a thick adhesive transfer tape that is so aggressive it will destroy the package if you try to peel it open after it is applied to both materials. Adhesive transfer tapes are also used for sealing bags in labs and anywhere articles or evidence needs to be sealed in a bag. The Tape Lab can customize your box closure and bag sealing tape to give the user an extended liner so it is easy to apply the tape to the box or bag without the edges sticking to everything it isn’t supposed to touch!

About Adhesive Transfer Tape

Adhesive Transfer Tapes are rolls of adhesive, all in pressure sensitive tape form that are coated on a siliconized release liner. Adhesive transfer tapes are like a floating layer of glue with no internal structure. Adhesive Transfer Tapes are the original “pressure sensitive adhesive”. They are used in a variety of bonding and laminating applications. Adhesive Transfer Tapes allow for excellent conformability on most surfaces. To apply an adhesive transfer tape to a surface simply press the exposed side of the tape down to a surface and then peel off the liner. Adhesive transfer tapes exhibit quick stick properties and holding power, even at elevated temperatures. Adhesive transfer tapes are used for mounting, splicing, and for closing and sealing systems.
