LS Foam (Polyurethane Foam)
The Tape Lab is proud to offer our customers very durable, soft and multifunctioning 3M™ ISOLOSS™ LS Polyurethane Foam. It has a wide range of thicknesses and densities. Through our relationship with 3M we are able to provide very short lead times and no minimum quantity orders. The LS Foam is 3M/ EAR’s alternative to Rogers Poron.
The LS Foam series has exceptional resilience, strength, energy control and cushioning characteristics. It is flame and chemical resistant, so it can provide strength and longevity in extreme environments with a wide temperature range. Whether it is gasketing, padding, sealing, vibration management or acoustics control, ISOLOSS™ LS Polyurethane Foam is used as an all-purpose solution across ALL industries.
LS FOAM Materials and Uses
ISOLOSS™ LS Foams are microcellular open-cell polyurethane foams with a low compression set to maintain the components original fit, form, and function throughout the product’s lifecycle. It has a bulk-roll format for efficient converting. The unique combination of design features allows for custom-made solutions for different applications. Multiple densities of this foam allow the design engineers to select among wide range of consistent force deflection curves. This is also used in medical field to protect equipment. Its ability to absorb mechanical energy make it an ideal foam for vibration sensitive electronic devices to earth shaking heavy equipment.
The foam comes plain as well was with 3M adhesive on one or both side. The Tape Lab can custom coat different adhesives on one or both sides of the LS Foam. We can also customize liners and releases to help with manufacturing efficiencies.
