A strapping or filament adhesive tape consists for the most part of a robust carrier, like PET or PE laminated with a strong pressure-sensitive adhesive which can most typically be a synthetic rubber adhesive or acrylic adhesive. Fiberglass and or Polyester filaments are laminated to the film and incorporated into the material to support tear-resistance of the tape. Fiberglass filaments are one of the most important construction materials in use.
The Tape Lab strapping tapes have reinforcements of tensilized polypropylene, polyester yarn or glass yarn filaments with a variety of tensile strengths and adhesive types. Some of the tape material examples are: natural and synthetic rubber, modified synthetic rubber and clean removal.
Strapping tape is ideal for attaching, bundling, palletizing, holding, reinforcing, securing and other general purpose applications. It is suitable for strapping of pallets during shipping, ensuring shelves and trays are held in place during movement of fridges or display cabinets and bundling steel coils during storage.
