Acrylic Foam Tapes, often referred to as VHB Foam Tapes in the industry, have outstanding visco-elastic characteristics and excellent resistance to many environmental elements, such as sunlight, ozone, temperature, and water, makes it ideal for long-lasting, ultra high end or extreme outdoor bonding applications. Our Acrylic Foam tapes are available in thicknesses ranging from .015″ to .120″ . These acrylic foam tapes come clear, white, black and grey.
Polyethylene Foam (both tape form and without PSA) provides a strong and resilient closed-cell foam. Both forms are more suited for indoor applications requiring cushioning, insulation, shock absorption, vibration and sound damping. Some typical applications using Polyethylene foam are in the appliance, aerospace, packaging, recreation, and construction industries. PE foam is available in roll form or in sheet form. It is available plain or with rubber or acrylic adhesive and it is also available in different thicknesses, densities and colors.
The Tape Lab stocks: Micro-cellular Cross-linked Polyethylene Foam (also known as EVA), Cross-linked Polyethylene Foam (which offers superior physical and chemical properties), and Volara® Polyethylene Foam (a division of Sekisui™ Voltek™ brand of archival quality irradiation, fine-celled cross-linked polyethylene foam known for low water absorption and vapor transmission).
Sponge Rubber Foams are closed cell products that are compressible and flexible. They are typically used for long-lasting indoor/outdoor application for sealing, gasketing, insulating, and weather stripping. Sponge Rubber foam is available in roll or sheet forms. The foam is available plain or with rubber or acrylic adhesive in various colors, thicknesses and densities.
The Tape Lab stocks: Neoprene Foam (NEO) (which as chemical resistant properties), EPDM Foam – UV ozone resistant foams, SBR Foam (which are abrasive resistant), and EPDM/SBR Blended Foam.
Urethane Foams (often referred to as Poron) can be open or closed cell foams. They are ideal for cushioning, insulating, gasketing, sealing and sound dampening. Urethane Foam is available in roll or sheet form. They are available plain or with rubber or acrylic adhesive in various thicknesses and densities.
The Tape Lab stocks: Microcellular Urethane Foam – open cell foam; Polyurethane (PU) – open cell foam reticulated or non reticulated; Polyurethane Ester Foam- open cell foam used for shock absorption and chemical resistance; Polyurethane Ether Foam- open cell foam used in moist environments; PORON® Urethane Foams – Rogers Corporation brand of high performance microcellular foams offering low compression and low outgassing; 3m EAR foam- similar properties to Poron.
Vinyl Foam Tapes are closed cell foams that are chemically resistant and usually have a lower cost/ They are typically used as gaskets to seal out light, air, dust and noise. These foams are available with or without adhesive and in thicknesses and densities.
The Tape Lab stocks: PVC Plasticized Polyvinyl Chloride Foam, EVA Ethylene Vinyl Acetate Foam, Vinyl Nitrile Foam (generally of low density and resistant to oils and other fluids), PVC/NBR Vinyl Nitrile Foam, and Cling Foam (used to hold in place without adhesive).
